Spring is here and the days are getting warmer but the 'cost of living crisis 2023' still continues. 

We have teamed up with Legacy West Midlands, Birmingham City Council and local providers to ensure that our most vulnerable communities are supported throughout this crisis. We now have two BAME social welfare hubs Edgbaston and Highgate, which form part of our overall Hub & Spoke health outreach strategy in the areas surrounding our regular walks. 

Black Heritage Walks Network are the proud winner of the Community Legacy Award 2022!

The Spirit of the Caribbean Annual Ball incorporating the Black Honour Awards will bring together like-minded people who uphold and share similar values. The Awards acknowledges what has gone before and laying the foundations for what is yet to come. It aims to show recognition and pay tribute to the outstanding contribution and excellent work carried out by member of our community daily. Black Heritage Walks Network was nominated for the Community Legacy Award.

Black Heritage Walks Network is proud to annouce its involvment in the UK's first Black Health Matters Summit.

Sistahood On Wheels in a community of Black Women who enjoy roller skating or blading and like to join a Sisterhood of like-minded women. The organisation was founded by Naomi aka ‘Nia Speaks’, a beginner skater who started roller skating in the streets and nearby parks in Ward End and Pype Hayes during the Covid 19 lockdown.

Black Heritage Walks Network have teamed up with Active Communities programme, to showcase a series of black heritage walks within Birmingham. The virtual walks are part of a series of sensory walk series within the which supports communities to become more socially, physically and civically active. Heritage tours are easy to get involved in, a good way to be active while spending time outdoors, and help build connections to local place, people, and history.
